I know it’s difficult, but think of how harmful smoking can be, how excessive consumption of sugar can lead to diabetes and obesity, and how alcohol and other abuses can undermine your health and your relationships.
I’m addicted to sweets, I love a glass of red wine over dinner, and I’ve been living and working with heavy smokers for the past 16 years.
I know it’s not easy to give them up, but it’s not impossible either.
You can switch to dark chocolate, dried fruits, and natural sweeteners (honey, stevia, erythritol, etc.). You can limit your alcohol intake, and you can at least reduce your smoking gradually until you are able to quit.
4. Find Ways To Exercise On The Go!
Perhaps you don’t have time to allocate to exercising alone, but you can exercise and improve your posture while performing other tasks.
For example, consider standing instead of sitting at your desk, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, and walking or riding a bike to work instead of taking the sub or driving.
If you listen to music through your house chores, you might find yourself dancing. If you use an upright vacuum cleaner instead of an automatic one, you will walk around the house and exercise without realizing it.
